New Year - New Beginings

Happy New Year!!! Above is a gift that I gave to my work friend Brent and his wife Audra for Christmas. This is a clear acrylic album of their new baby Ava. I bought the album from a vendor show a few months back. I was able to pick out the words I wanted in the album, as well as what position I wanted them in. I mixed acrylic with chipboard. It's somewhat difficult to see from these pictures, but the book spells out AVA. I'm so excited about this book and how well it came out, that I'm definately going to be purchasing more of these in the future. You can do so as well at Clear Scraps: http://www.clearscraps.com/. I used such a mixture of supplies that I couldn't even tell you who they're all from. But you can obviously create something from whatever you have on hand - or take a trip to your favorite hobby store and buy more! Or stay home and just buy online from my online store: www.miranda.myctmh.com.And since it's the new year, I wanted to share that I've been purging and cleaning, and reorganizing my scrap studio. It's CRAZY messy right now, but I will promise you, it's going to look beautiful when I'm done (I'll post lots of pictures). I'm been going thru boxes of stuff that hasn't seen the daylight since who know's when. I'll be doing a sale in March/April at my place so for those who are local, you'll want to stop by. Ray built me some great shelves and I've been taking advantage of making these my own with adding all sorts of goodies on them. I think that I became too overwhelmed with all my stuff, that creative time just wasn't working out too good for me. Sometimes we all need to clean. So that's my advice to you this month. Look thru your old stuff. Get rid of ( by selling, giving, trading it) and buy some pretty new storage solutions, and take inventory so you know what you want to purchase this year.
Okey dokey...I'm off.
Happy Scrampin'! and Happy New Year!!!
Miranda
