It's been so long! Thanks for being faithful and waiting for me to show up here again. I'm telling you, moving is not the most fun thing in the world, but when you're moving into your OWN home, it's so much more rewarding and exciting.
Ray and I have been here for a bit over a month now, and it's finally time for me to tackle my brand new crafting palace. Not sure what I'm going to 'name' my new room - as it still has a long way to go - but I'm sooooo super excited about it and I couldn't wait to share some of it with you!
You'll start to understand why I haven't had anytime to make anything pretty in a while. There's so much to do, and sooooooo much STUFF to do something with. Seriously, I must either start using or get rid of some of this stuff!!! I had WELL OVER 60+ boxes (not to include the stuff I didn't put into boxes) of just scrapbooking/stamping/crafting supplies!!! HOLY #!@%!!!! Going from a 600+ sq ft of unfinished space into about 160 sq ft of space with walls, a closet, etc, is a bit of a challenge. Believe me, I'll be working on paring down quite a bit in the near future. If you're local (Denver Metro Area), I'll be holding a sale sometime in the fall with some of this stuff, plus listing some on Craigslist. I can ship for you out of town gals, too.
So, let's get started with the 'Before' pictures...lol
Here's only SOME of the many boxes I had packed up.
Below is a few of the closet - sans the closet doors. I'll be making some cute curtains that will hide the stuff in the closet when I don't want to look at it. In the closet, I'm planning on all my paper, misc. project stuff, and whatever else will fit in there. ;)
Oh, and notice my table. This use to be our 'dining' table at the other house. I convience Ray to buy a new set for this new house, so I got the table for my room. Yay!!! I absolutely love it. It's a nice sturdy wood top and HUGE! I can fit several friends around the table when needed. Oh, and when it's cleaned off! Yikes - I'd better do that!

Below are some file drawers and of course, MORE BOXES!!! In the black and white drawers, I hold all of my chipboard letters and shapes. This works out great. The file drawers use to be a weird green color, but Ray pained them all black for me. The unit as a whole will actually end up going on the wall where the door is open to.
Here are the drawers on the wall where they will say. I've put some CTMH business supplies in these, and the bottom drawer of the large file cabinet will hold all of my Idea Books. In the left of the picture you'll see all of my plastic boxes that hold all of my stamps - WHICH, by the way, all fit into my large rolling tote. Can you imagine if I had all wood stamps, just how many more boxes I would have had! I have well over 160 sets of CTMH stamps that all fit into the tote. I should take a picture of that. Seriously...yay for clear acrylix stamps! I don't know what I would have done without the ease of moving you. :)

Ok, so below is the close it so far. Mind you, I only started unpacking on Friday afternoon. This picture was taken yesterday. I have TOO much paper. I know, really, can we ever have too much?!?!? YES - if the answer is of stuff you'll never use. I have tons of paper I'll be 'discarding' to one lucky person (or 5), in order to make room for new pretty stuff, of course. In the 'black wire' paper holders, holds all of my card stock by color. The cropper hoppers on top hold most of my paper packs and misc. other papers I've picked up along the way. Ray is going to build me a shelf to go over the black wire holders, so I can put more paper on top of them, and it will then be a bit more stable. I have binders, boxes, other shelves that are holding card making stuff, envelopes, tins for projects, etc. in the closet. This will be my main storage area until I get a WALL OF CABINETS with BUILT IN DESK on the wall where all of the boxes currently are. I can't wait! There I'll put all of the other stuff, and I'm sure re-arrange it all. Cabinets are pretty expensive, but we've located some rather cheap ones on Craigslist. I'll be painting them all black and installing in the next month, so I'm exited.
So, really, I just couldn't take it any more. I had to clean off the table so I could make something. Going nearly 1 month without making ANYTHING creative (except for at my SU lady's house - Thanks Marilyn, I'll be there this month, too), I just HAD to get this area cleaned. I'll post that project later this week - as I'm still in the process of finishing it up. Anyway, I have all my goodies that I use often at my fingertips (tool wise, that is). I also have a WINDOW!!!! OMG - I'm so glad to be out of the icky basement I was once it. This is fanstastic. I don't have a great view, but can see the sky, the tree tops, etc. It's awesome!!! I'll be making some curtains to match the ones I'm putting on the closet doors.

And for the color combo of my new room. The walls are a great shade of light lime green - called Spring Fairy from Valspar (Lowe's brand). For you crafters out there, it's really a mix of kiwi/sweet leaf for CTMH fans, and kinda Green Gable from SU 2008. I LOVE it!!!!
I'm painting all 'major' cabinets black. So there be black accents, along with white.

And the finishing touch, RED!!!! I love, love, love this color combo together. Everywhere I see it, it catches my eye. Most things will go black and white, with the touches of red and lime green. All of these are my favorites, so I'm super excited.
Well, I hope you've enjoyed the journey to my new house with me. I can't wait to start being creative again and posting. My posting schedule will be approx. 3 times per week, starting this week. So, bookmark me, tell your friends, add me to your lists and come back soon.
Happy Scrampin'!
Miranda
